Agustina Fioretti (Argentina, 1991)
Agustina Fioretti is a visual artist based in Barcelona. With studies in Economy and Photography in the International Center of Photography New York, her artistic practice reflects on her own migration in dialogue with that of the previous generations, questioning the limits of the human and the non-human, memory and materiality. Through the work with archives –both from family and institution–, oral stories and crossing rituals, her work approaches liminality as a space of transit and metamorphosis. She uses different media as installation, video, photography, texts and performance to dig deeper into the research about these themes.
She has been selected for the Price of Sculpture of Fundació Vila Casas (2924) and Art Emergent Sabadell (2023). She participated in Tandem Books en Chiquita Room and Lluerna Fundació Miró. She was also a resident at the School of Visual Arts New York, PAC Project in Gachi Prieto and Manglar Acéfala.
