Agustina Fioretti is a visual artist who lives and works in Barcelona. With a background in Economics and photography at the International Center of Photography in New York, her practice lies at the intersection of personal experiences and historical narratives, exploring processes of migration and the ways in which memory, territory, and belonging are constructed.
Through working with archives -from familial to institutional-, oral histories, and rites of passage, her work investigates liminality as a space of transition and transformation, questioning the boundaries between the human and the non-human, as well as the relationships between body and materiality. She uses different media such as installation, video, photography, text, and performance to develop these investigations.
