Gabriel Ventura, (Granollers, 1988)

Holding a degree in Humanities and a Master’s in Comparative Studies in Literature, Art and Thought from Pompeu Fabra University, he is a writer, poet, researcher, and interdisciplinary creator. Author of books such as W, Apunts per a un incendi dels ulls, and El millor dels mons impossibles, his work originates in poetry and expands into essay writing, performance, video, and artistic research. He has collaborated with institutions including MACBA, the Filmoteca de Catalunya, and the Biennal de Venècia, as well as with artists and filmmakers such as Albert Serra and Rosa Tharrats. Among his most notable projects are the 24-hour performance connected to Apunts per a un incendi dels ulls, the cinematic chronicle La nit portuguesa about the filming of Liberté, the audiovisual works Els miracles del Mestre Cabestany and El riu era verd i blau i groc, and the micro-opera Aura, created with music by Marina Herlop. More recently, he contributed to the historical and literary research behind LUX by RosalÃa. Since 2019, he has been an associate professor at BAU and, since 2024, co-director of the POESIA i + festival.
