Miquel Garcia (Barcelona, 1975)
PhD in Fine Arts. He completed his undergraduate studies at The Cooper Union (New York). He has undertaken residencies in Madrid (Hablar en Arte, Ey!Studio and El Ranchito, Matadero); Barcelona (Hangar and Experimentem amb l’Art); Santiago de Chile (Mater Sub Lab, Centro Cultural de España en Chile and Cecrea de Castro); MedellÃn (Centro Colombo Americano); São Paulo (Casa das Caldeiras); Seoul (Chang Dong Art Studio); Quebec (Axeneo 7 and Dare Dare, Montreal); and Portugal (MCOARTE, Porto).
He has presented solo exhibitions at GalerÃa ADN (2022); Centro Cultural de España (2017, Santiago de Chile); Galeria dels Àngels (2014 and 2016); Museu d’Art Modern de Tarragona (2015); La Capella, Barcelona (2015); Dare Dare Centre (2010, Montreal); and Axeneo 7 (2008, Quebec).
He has participated in group exhibitions at Fotonoviembre (International Photography Biennial of Tenerife); El Bòlit (Girona); Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris and Málaga); Centex (ValparaÃso, Chile); Fundació Tà pies; Galeria Vermelho (São Paulo, Brazil); Centre d’Art Santa Mònica (Barcelona); CCCB (Barcelona); Corcoran Gallery (Washington), as well as in biennials in Havana, Mardin (Turkey), and Turku (Finland).
